4th OF JULY FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR AT CALABASAS HIGH SCHOOL

The City of Calabasas will proudly host the community’s annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Calabasas High School on Thursday, July 4, 2013. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at 9:00 p.m. The family-oriented, fun-filled event will feature live music from "Mrs. Robinson," the ultimate entertainment band, a free family fun zone with a balloon artist, inflatable rides, crafts, games and the grand fireworks display!

Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be available beginning on June 3, 2013 at City Hall (100 Civic Center Way), Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center (23400 Park Sorrento) and Juan Bautista de Anza Park (3701 Lost Hills Road) in Calabasas. The $10 admission price includes parking, entertainment and all activities. Children under 2 years of age are admitted free! Handicap parking and a Shuttle for elderly & disabled (plus one attendant) will be available. Delicious food and beverages will be offered for sale at the site including barbequed meats, sausages, roasted corn, kettle corn, snow cones and more. Please note that the Fireworks Spectacular is an alcohol and tobacco free zone. No bottles, pets or umbrellas are permitted.

Before the Fireworks Spectacular, the City will feature a day full of free events for the community starting with the 36th annual Lakeside Fun Run, sponsored in part by the Calabasas Park Homeowners Association, which will take place along Calabasas Lake behind the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center beginning at 7:45 a.m. Registration for the Fun Run is $15 for adults and $12 for children before July 1. After the Fun Run, a pet show will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the greenbelt adjacent to the Tennis & Swim Center featuring pet adoptions and pet contests in several categories. A Summer Splash Party, featuring games, swimming, free use of tennis courts, a barbeque, music and dancing will take place at the Tennis & Swim Center from 12:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Entertainment: All entertainment included in ticket price: live performances by Platinum Groove plus a Family Fun Zone with DJ, inflatables, balloon artists, games, crafts, & more!
Seating: The fireworks event takes place on an open grass field.  Fixed chairs are limited to handicap guests only.  Bring low back lawn chairs and blankets.
Restrictions: All guests are subject to search before entry.  The following items are prohibited on the event grounds:
  • Umbrellas
  • Pets (Unless for ability assistance)
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco of any kind
Food / Drinks: Picnic items permitted (no bottles).  Food & drinks available for purchase on site: barbecue, sausages, roasted corn, kettle corn, snow cones & more.
Pets: Sorry no pets allowed – (unless for ability assistance)
Tickets: $10.00 per person / Children under two free
No-onsite ticket sales.  Pre-purchase tickets beginning June 3rd - First come, first serve

Shuttles: Shuttle for elderly & disabled (plus one attendant) available from upper parking lot.  Last shuttle to field departs at 8:45pm.  Return shuttles begin at 9:45pm
Road Restrictions: To assist with Traffic flow, the Sheriff will limit access surrounding the High School region from 5:00pm – 10:00pm on July 4th.
Traffic will be restricted to:
  • Residents with photo identification
  • Event ticket holders
  • Neighborhood Guest Pass Holders
